Recognise this face?
We woke up to him on morning television for six years. Now he is worth $50m. Not bad for a boy from a working class suburb in Sydney.

We woke up to him on Good Morning Australia for six years. He was the face of Hard Copy. In the US he fronted his own syndicated 90’s TV talk show program The Gordon Elliott Show.
These days Gordon Elliott is based in New York and is a TV mogul worth $50m dollars.
This Sunday he is interviewed on Sunday Night by former colleague Mike Munro.
Born and bred in a working class suburb of Sydney, Elliott says life as a kid was tough, having to deal with school bullies and the jailing of his father for fraud.
He formed his own production company, Follow Productions, in 1999 which produces several lifestyle shows.
Sunday Night airs 6:30pm on Seven.

How could I get a copy of your 1995-1996 show on how to get rich quick schemes?
Saw him on Oz too – not ‘in’ the jail but on the TV in the jail. But he wasn’t a patch on Miss Sally..! So he’s worth $50m dollars? Good on him.
Good on the guy. A lot of people in Australia laughed and didn’t think he’d make it when he went to the US but he’s proven that wrong. Whether you liked or disliked him on the tele over here at least he’s had a go and been successful at it. I’d say what helped him over there was that the Australian TV when he was coming through involved a lot of ad libbing which the Yanks are notorious for not being able to do. “If it ain’t on the auto cue, don’t say it.”
I once saw Gordon Elliot at Bondi in 1993.
Mr Elliot is a very tall man!
I used to love watching him and Kerri-Anne on GMA – what days they were!
……..ugh
