Returning: The Footy Show

The Footy Show is back soon and it isn't changing timeslots according to programming info.

Nine’s long-running  AFL Footy Show will return on Thursday March 11th, well ahead of the Round 1 match on March 25th.

Contrary to industry rumours, Nine has it slated to return to its traditional 9:30pm slot. There has been speculation it might move timeslots to combat an attempt by Seven to launch its new AFL show, The Bounce, featuring Peter Helliar.

Last year it returned on March 12, so it appears to not even be blinking at Seven’s competition, which is tipped for Wednesday nights.

The NRL Footy Show will also return on March 11 at 9:30pm.

  1. last year TFS AFL was on 9HD in NSW (Sydney, dont know about ACT) at 9.30 (while TFS NRL was on 9) and on 9 at about midnight (+-30min). I am expecting 9HD to show it again this year.

  2. why is it even called the footy show, they barley talk about footy, and when people do sam newmen just talks over them and acts like an idiot, i prefer “before the game” as they actually have in depth intelligent discussion about the game.

  3. Seven’s new footy show on a wednesday? bit odd an odd day to do it. Its the middle of the week and its around that time that interest in footbal is lowest. Should do it on a thursday, although that will screw up Seven’s thursday lineup, which should be altered anyway.

  4. i wish they would get rid of the hosts of this show. brayshw isn’t funny and he thinks he is. lyon gives nothing every week. but they will destroy 7’s new footy show with in a month
