Actress Caroline McWilliams best known for her role in Benson has died at her home in Los Angeles from complications of multiple myeloma, aged 64.
McWilliams began her career on the soap opera Guiding Light in 1969 followed by a stint on Another World before she broke into prime time with Soap.
That was soon followed by her most famous role, Marcy Hill opposite Robert Guillaume on Benson. She also appeared in recurring roles on Judging Amy and Beverly Hills, 90210.
McWilliams married Michael Keaton in 1982 and the couple had one son, Sean Douglas. They divorced in 1990.
She also appeared in a number of stage productions and films, including Mermaids.

That’s a shame. I really enjoyed her work on “Benson.” I also hadn’t realized she had such range; she was on Broadway in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” and did Shakespeare!
Sad news for us Benson fans.
