2010 KCA’s (US): Winners

For the second year running American kids have voted iCarly their Favorite TV Show at the Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards.

For the second year running American kids have voted iCarly their Favorite (that’s without the “u”) TV Show at the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Awards.

Both Dylan Sprouse (The Suite Life of Zach and Cody) and Selena Gomez (Wizards of Waverly Place) again won Favorite TV Actor / Actress. If you’ve never heard of these two, it just shows how the KCA‘s are relevant as indicators of the next hot thing in the tween market.

The latter two wins were impressive because Dylan Sprouse beat the Jonas Brothers (Jonas) and Gomez trounced Miley Cyrus (Hannah Montana) and Miranda Cosgrove (iCarly).

American Idol won the TV Reality gong.

The biggest surprise was that Twilight Saga: New Moon lost the prize for Favorite Movie to one of the worst-reviewed films of the year, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel. Twilight and The Vampire Diaries both lost out in the book category to “Diary of a Wimpy Kid.”

However both Taylor Launtner and Miley Cyrus bounced back with Movie Actor / Actress wins.

  1. @KFed: Nick website updated first, Saturday, same with Nick Jr site. Nick then used the new logo on-air from 6:30 last night.

Oz’s Nick Jr, is believed to be the first existing (i.e. pre-Sept 09) standalone Nick Jr channel to use the new Nick Jr logo, (adopted when Noggin became the US’s standalone Nick Jr on the same day, US Nick dropped the splat.)

  2. @KFed.. your a bit behind the times. Nick launched the new logo in Aust last night with the KCA and has being using it ever since.. I simple look in to Google will show you the new logo design, even the nick website has be updated with the fresh look.
