Alex Ristevski, Channel Manager, The Comedy Channel said “The Melbourne International Comedy Festival is one of the three largest comedy festivals in the world alongside Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival and is a perfect fit for The Comedy Channel which also showcases and celebrates the best of Australian and international comedians.”

It airs at 9.00pm Thursday March 18 with an encore screening Saturday March 20 at 6.30pm.

Immediately following this special at 10.00pm tomorrow is Tom Green’s Best of the Fest as the anarchic Canadian comedian selects his favourites including Akmal, Arj Barker, Jimeoin, Kitty Flanagan, Ross Noble and more.

And in other festival news US comedian Janeane Garofalo has pulled out less than two weeks before the opening night of her show at the Town Hall.
