Nine’s third installment of Underbelly will premiere on the first day of ratings after the Easter break.

It will air at 8:30pm Sunday April 11. That puts the show against The Good Wife and Bones. Updated: Begins with a two hour event.

Meanwhile Nine is also planning Hey Hey it’s Saturday for Wednesday, without a name change, and Sea Patrol for Thursdays.

  2. Come on people use some common sense. Its obvious V will go to 9:30 Sunday. Its done excellent demo figures hardly a cause to put it to GO! Think before we post.

  3. This will be a very solid schedule for Nine – good one them for committing and releasing their schedule before anyone else which hasn’t been the case in recent years but credit where it’s due.

    UB should do well as will Hey Hey.

    Sea Patrol will hopefully do well on Thursdays – can’t wait to have it back. It’s much improved to its first seasons.

  4. I don’t know if Good Wife will die to be honest.

    Underbelly is very heavily a male skewing show; Bones I would imagine is very neutral in that it attracts both men and women; but Good Wife is predominately a female skewing show.

    I know that I will stick to The Good Wife and record Underbelly but I won’t be fooled by underbelly this year; if its a horrible premiere like the premiere of Season 2 then I’m not sticking around; I finished off Season 2 which was such a chore for me to watch I really hated it; but hung thinking it would improve and equal the excellence of Season 1; I definately do not hold high hopes for Season 3.

    I think Bones will drop more than Good Wife; Good Wife will likely still around the Million mark especially with the Masterchef Leadin which should still pull excellent figures.

  7. Underbelly and Hey Hey timeslot were to be expected, but Sea Patrol on Thursday is a shock. Given how old it skews, and how low rating Thursday is, I think this may be the final season of Sea Patrol.

    Underbelly / The Good Wife / Bones will be a very interesting battle. Underbelly should quite easily take out a win, but I don’t think it will be anywhere near last years debut figures, or the 2m + it averaged. The Good Wife will likely be the biggest loser.

  11. As a number of other people have already commented, where has V and Survivors disappeared to, when Underbelly starts up in these programs usual timeslot on sunday night?

  14. Don’t forget that Underbelly won’t be on Sunday 2, as the Logies are on that night. Also, it’s interesting to see Sea Patorl move to Thursday nights

  17. I’m probably the only one, but I couldn’t care less about Underbelly. I’m also sick of the court appearances of the Ibrahims being considered worthy of news reporting. I see it as tacky promotion.

  19. Not interested in Underbelly, no doubt millios of Australians will get sucked in no matter how good or bad it actually is. But Hey Hey It’s Saturday….keepign that name…but on Wednesday is ridiculous. That would be like having Saturday Night Live on Wednesday nights. Or Sunday Night moving to Thursdays. It’s no big deal to just call it Hey Hey.

  20. Nine will be in a really good spot. Now all they have to do is fix Tuesdays, especially seeing as they are running out of new Top Gear episodes.

  22. Is Nine only putting Hey Hey it’s ‘Saturday’ on mid week because its a higher rating night?

    FIY still not watched the 2 other special even though I have copies of the show…

  25. So then what happens to V and Survivors? I don’t know if Survivors first series will be finished by then but I know V’s definitely won’t be. I hope they’re not going to cancel it like they seem to do with every other Sci-Fi show they’ve had.
