When Bert hosts the Logies this May, he will be reunited with his longtime Musical Director from Good Morning Australia, John Foreman.
Foreman is once again the maestro behind TV’s glamour night as he has been for several years.
Now all they need is Rob ‘Belvedere’ Mascara to floor manage the thing and it would be a complete trump card. Mascara is a freelancer these days so it’s not a completely impossible notion…
Nine has announced a number of other names who will be associated with the night. The Red Carpet Arrivals will be hosted by Karl Stefanovic, Lisa Wilkinson and Leila McKinnon.
Today‘s Richard Wilkins, who had been falsely rumoured to be in the running for the host job, will be joined by Natalie Gruzlewski to “be on hand to present memorable Logies moments.” Presumably this means fronting a few retrospective clips rather than actually simply walking onstage to hand out a gong?
Kate Ritchie is also confirmed to present an award. Traditionally the Logies does not reveal its Gold Logie presenter … so make what you will of that one.
In addition to the musical names of ‘Subo’, John Mayer and Gabriella Cilmi, the cast of the the Fame stage musical will also perform. The musical features prominently in FOX8’s Fame: Ultimate School Musical due in April.
The 2010 Logies airs on May 2nd on Nine.

Thank God. Finally we have some decent people doing The Red Carpet Arrivals. Karl, Lisa and Leila will be better than anyone they have had previously.
The up side is with Freetv’s advice to go and buy PVR’s we can skip most of the show and the ads.
OMG. if their Logies pre-show is anything like the Oscars pre-show I think I’ll just shoot myself now!
When I saw the link my first thought was they’re no going to drag out Belevedere as well are they?
Why do Nine always get their news people to host entertainment and sport events?
Channel Nine sponsors Fame (in addition to Jersey Boys and Mamma Mia), that’s why the cast of Fame will perform at the Logies. Ironically, the cast includes several contestants from last year’s So You Think You Can Dance Australia, which aired on Ten.
All I can say is thank the Logie Gods that Wilkins is not host.
The news just gets duller and duller……
Bugger, i won’t be able to watch because i think i have to put a fork in my eye that night, phew…………………
