MKR: It’s Clint & Noah v Veronica & Shadi

Victorians Clint & Noah will battle it out with Queenslanders Veronica & Shadi -but the real story last night was the tearful exit of NSW's Mossy & Gabe.

Victorians Clint and Noah will battle it out with Queenslanders Veronica & Shadi for the title of My Kitchen Rules 2010.

The two teams will face of on Monday night in a Grand Final with a $100,000 prize up for grabs.

But the real story from last night wasn’t so much about the two teams who have made it to the grand final, but the tearful exit of New South Wales’ Mossy and Gabe.

The ‘cop and the lawyer’ team have been full of spirit for this series, cheering on their own competitors and taking pseudo-paternal and maternal roles for some of the younger contestants.

“The highlight of this competition has been to meet these people and form friendships with them,” said Gabe. “And particularly with people who are half our age.”

Mossy, the detective who loves to cook, was pure magic with his parting words.

“In the fair dinkum department, you get the chance to travel around Australia and enjoy the food of other people. It’s like being hit in the arse with a rainbow,” he said.

You just can’t write this stuff…

Also eliminated last night were Queenslanders Tanja and Gen.

The 90 minute Grand Final airs 7:30pm Monday on Seven.

  1. Agree with the other comments. Found it very touching that Mossy and Gabe were getting emotional. Then his rainbow comment..absolute classic. But what a great show – I had written this off as MasterChef lite, but I think its different enough (and well produced enough) that its found its own niche. Props to Channel 7 and go the Victorian boys!

  2. Great episode, loved it and the ‘brave’ couples who love to cook .

I felt the 4 finals judges were all very fair with comments and marks. I hope they use the same ones in the next series.

    Altogether a worthy show.

  3. Thanks David for telling us it is repeated today. I was watching the final Episode of ‘Big Love’ on SBS and taping ‘Survivor’ and trying to flick across to MKR, but missed it. I will be sure to watch it today.

  4. Totally agree with you, a scriptwriter could not come up with this stuff. Last night’s MKR was absolutely fantastic, best episode of the series so far by a country mile. It deserves to rate through the ceiling as it was enthralling with just the right amount of really heartfelt schmaltz. Mossy is a top bloke, and his “hit on the arse by a rainbow line” was wonderful!! Manu’s offer to let Gabe and Mossy cook in the kitchen of his restaurant was a lovely touch as well. Great TV, Seven would have been thrilled with how that episode panned out. I also really like Guy Grossi, one of the guys on the judging panel. He is very generous with his praise and fair with his marks.

  5. That’s the greatest quote i’ve ever heard. “It’s like being hit in the arse with a rainbow.” LOL.

I’ll be cheering on Clint & Noah in the final.

  6. I loved Mossy and Gabe. They were the first thing to actually attract me to the show because unlike other contestants, they seemed happy for their competitors success and just wanted to cook a meal everyone could enjoy. I so want to go to their house for dinner!

  7. loved the comment by mossy of ” being hit in the arse with a rainbow”
