Nine wanted Kyle too

Both Nine and Seven were on the phone to Kyle Sandilands as soon as his contract with TEN was up.

Channel Nine was just as interested in hiring Kyle Sandilands as Seven, the new Australia’s Got Talent judge has said.

Both networks were on the phone on January 1st -his first day out of contract with TEN after being dumped from Australian Idol.

“I couldn’t do anything after I got sacked because I was still contracted to TEN,” he told the Sunday Herald Sun.

“But then Seven rang and had this (AGT) on offer while Nine said they wanted me to do something, but they had nothing, and I didn’t want to do Burke’s Backyard.

“Seven was the only one that was real and had something that I was interested in doing.”

Sandilands has been recording audition episodes with Dannii Minogue and Brian McFadden.

  1. Kyle Sandilands is a low level “talent”. ask to re-judge the panel of judge by TV higher boss. Kyle should answer few questions to the public audiences before being the chief judge: 1. who is austraian? 2. what’s the difference between “got” and “has”? 3. what’s the “talent” mean?

one argument is here : there are 3 important areas where the talents contribution to our civilisation in history. they are music, visual, and number. Kyle difinitely doesn’t know much on number. for you missed to select someone based on your level, who should be appear on the 4th searies at channel 7…
don’t be scary. you just don’t know much. how can you let more people to watch the program.

“Never make the same mistake twice, There are so many new ones, Try a different one …”

  2. I know Kyle did all the stuff on air with aus stearo, but during the filming of aust’s got talent last night, while Kyle bagged the bad performances, he was very friendly, constructive with his feedback and very caring. I can’t say what he did exactly, but once the episode airs it will show how he has changed, and nothing like he was on Big Brother.

  3. I find it hard to believe that Nine wanted Kyle unless I hear it from a Nine or Ten source, he over-rates himself sooo much and doesn’t mind throwing the odd lie in to make himself look better. I remember his fight with Hughesy when he claimed Hughesy’s radio manager called Kyle praising him, which later turned out to be false.

  4. I won’t be watching that is for sure. AGT doesn’t really have enough pull for me to see past him being there. I’m pretty sure I am not alone in that. I think the execs might have underestimated just how many people are sick to death of Kyle. I wonder if the ratings will reflect that or not.

  5. well he will be off tv soon any way. agt won’t last especially when no one is going to watch a bunch od untalented idiots thinkig they are thext big thing

  6. I thought that would be right up Sandilands alley, signing with 9 and getting millions for doing nothing.

AGT with flop bad this year with him and McFadden on, who wants to tune into them?

  7. Kyle last night at the Australia’s Got Talent recording in Melbourne showed what a big heart he has. Viewers will be really surprised at what Kyle offers a set of contestants. Top bloke.

  8. Nine has no current comedic or light entertainment talent whatsoever…and they won’t get any good people unkess they start making people legitimate offers. It’s no great loss that they couldn’t entice Sandilands but they need to entice some of Australia’s comedic and hosting talent asap…2 1/2 Men can’t last forever!

  9. Yet another ‘talent’ show (with Kyle Sandilands yet!), yeah that’s what Australian TV needs. Australia may have talent (though years of Australian Idol seems to indicate otherwise) but it certainly isn’t located in the executive offices of our commercial TV networks.
