  1. I love this show. I have not missed an episode yet and was thrilled to hear it will be around for a third season! I just wish there was an Aussie link somewhere that allowed us to watch episodes online if we do happen to miss it or to rewatch a favorite one……..

  2. excellent show and im glad ill get at least one more season. If it was simply a science fiction show I would have given up long ago, it’s the writing and character developement that keeps me watching.

  3. Yep, I’m enjoying watching Fringe too. Enough that I watch it “live” and watch Lost at 11:30pm (and a week behind). John Noble (another Aussie) is great as Walter.

  4. Just a note – season 2 hasn’t finished yet in the US. It is a 23-episode season and they’ve shown 15 of those, the last of which was the “winter finale” on Fevruary 4th. It returns on April 1st with its “Spring premiere”, which is actually episode 16 of season 2.

This very early pick-up for a third season (to start at the end of 2010, presumably) is brilliant news. One of the best things on TV at the moment, this show.

  5. @matt – whatever it is – i’m loving it. I’m currently re-watching my x-file dvd collection (just started the 3rd season) and the similarities are extremely strong. Just an observation.

I’m also a nerd for spotting the watchers 🙂

  6. brisvegas – it’s basically the x-files for the new century

It’s a X-Files not the X-Files for the new century as other shows including Torchwood has made the same claim to it.

  7. So excited when I heard this news. I’m hopelessly addicted to this show. Anna Torv and Josh Jackson portray their characters connection so subtley but so well; and John Noble is just spectacular. Season 2 was a definite improvement on season 1 with character development and the back-stories becoming clearer; I’m thrilled there’ll be a 3rd season :):)

  8. I love Fringe and was thrilled when GO! decided to show this after nine gave it the boot. As with all the JJ Abrams shows, you must accept that this show will reward you long-term as well as short term. Bring it on!

  9. I’ve been catching up on the show and really can’t work out why it doesn’t rate here?

I really like it and GO! is only weeks behind the US now, it’s a gear show and so glade to hear it’s back for a 3rd season.

  10. I loved Season 1 – Season 2 started off well then bottomed out a little bit with a few ‘mythology’ episodes that seemed a bit out of place. But the season has picked up since then; I’m glad its been renewed its a good show!

  11. The casting in line with the script completes this show. Anna Torv & Joshua Jackson are excellent, however John Noble as Walter steals the entire show – dark one minute, light the other. His involvement only makes it more mysterious.

Fringe is a must watch, every week.

  12. I’ll be watching a 3rd season, if they show it on Go! Plus the show keeps a few more aussies in work!

The whole Walter/Peter relationship is what I watch it for, more than some of the crazy scifi storylines. I agree with Brisvegas, give Walter his own show!
Walter must have worked on or known about every sort of science in the world, no wonder he went insane.

Caught the eps of Young Lions with John Noble recently, funny listening to his very strong aussie accent then back to Fringe with the yank accent.

  13. I love Fringe. I wasn’t feeling well last year and so I had almost the whole first season on my DVR. I spent a few happy days on the couch watching it. I like it because it is X-Filey, but also they seem to answer some of the questions as they go along. I also love the way the hide hints about what it to come in each episode and I love to spot The Watchers. I too think Walter is a fabulous character and I love Joshua Jackson,. Anna Torv does a great job as does ‘Asterix’!! I am looking forward to a third season.
Watched the first episode of Warehouse 13 yesterday, it may be good. I am yet to decide.

  14. Its brilliant but understandable that it s not reflected in the ratings.

Like a number of shows (supernatural and if I recall correctly xfiles) they have a very solid fan base. Unfortunatly not all the episodes are easy to watch (too sickening or scary) .

Do USA’s ratings releft time shifting? It may be like Hero’s which has massive downloads and time shifted viewing!

I hope that it can get enought viewers to keep the show funded and overtime others may see how good it is.

  15. Yay! Fringe has been particularly excellent this 2nd season. The mid-season cliffhanger was fantastic and let us hanging for more! GO! has almost caught up to the States which is means should it not take a break like the States currently have, they’ll soon be fasttracked episodes.

  16. This show is one of my guilty pleasures. Yes, it’s basically the x-files for the new century – but what the hey. I record it on wednesdays and watch it over the weekend (I watch lost on the night, but watching fringe on saturday morning with a yummy breakfast is one of my weekly highlights). I love this show – in particular Walter – the guy could have his own sitcom.

    More please!!
