Former 1980s heartthrob and actor Corey Haim, best known from the movie The Lost Boys, has died at the age of 38.

Haim (pictured, right) died of a suspected accidental overdose, found unresponsive at an apartment near Burbank, police said. His mother was at the home at the time.

The actor, who has struggled with drug addiction, had recently tried his best to get himself back on Hollywood’s A-list, but had predominantly worked on several low budget and straight-to-video films. His films included Busted, Demolition High, Watchers and Murphy’s Romance.

He also appeared in television shows Merlin (1998), Roomies, The Edison Twins and reality series The Two Coreys in which he starred alongside fellow Lost Boys actor Corey Feldman (pictured, left).

  1. Terrible news.

Will a channel be interested in screening The Two Coreys now ??
Shame they weren’t interested when the show was new.
There are 2 seasons and I believe that people would watch it , especially now more than ever. But it should have screened on E! in 2006.

  2. The Coreys were my heroes when I was a kid. I always hoped he’d get it together. Very sad.

PS: If anybody has the chance to watch Demolition High – I picked a copy up on DVD for 99c – I suggest you take it. You won’t thank me.

  3. I was only just watching him on TMZ a few weeks ago, with Corey Feldman, saying they were friends for life. Very sad to see he has passed on, he will be missed.
