Wanna program rage?

ABC has a ‘6 Degrees Of Sepa-rage’ music video contest with the prize being your own hour of music on rage.

The ABC is offering the opportunity to programme rage as part of a contest for fans.

‘6 Degrees of Sepa-rage’ is the name of a music video knowledge test that will take place  and the winner gets to programme an hour of the ABC music video show.

On Saturday April 10 every video played on rage will be connected to the one before it. As the ABC says, “The bands will have shared the stage, their members, the same songs or even their DNA. How is Vanilla Ice connected to Massive Attack? What do Jack White and Jay-Z have in common?”

ABC will publish an incomplete playlist on April 2nd on abc.net.au/rage a week before the Special, with every sixth clip missing and replaced by a clue. Viewers will be asked to decipher the clues, figure out as many of the missing videos as they can and submit their answers – along with their ultimate killer rage playlist.

On April 10 all will be revealed during the ‘6 Degrees Of Sepa-rage’ Special.  rage reckons it could trigger a Twitter frenzy as people compare results -and they’re probably right.

Viewers can follow 6 degrees of Sepa-rage at abc.net.au/rage, on facebook and twitter @rage_abc / hashtag #6degreesofseparage.

Entries close at 5pm on Friday April 9.

  1. That not fair publishing the playlist to enter the competition on Good Friday. That better be a mistake, as I may not be able to get access to a computer over the Easter long weekend, as I might be going away. Usually for the Easter long weekend and if any other public holidays occur on a Friday, playlists are posted on the Thursday.

  2. I probably won’t enter because I’m not that cluey about linking things together, but that sounds really cool. I’d love to program Rage!
