30 Rock is about to get a new night, with a minor timeslot upgrade.
From May 16 it will air at 11pm Sunday nights, following Scrubs at 10:30pm.
And it will have a double episode.
Meanwhile Monday May 17 is TBA from 10:30pm -12:30pm…. wonder if it’s tied into Lost plans? The latter remains at 11:40pm on Seven on Wed 19th.
Wednesday 12th and 19th also features a double Pacific from 8:30pm because two episodes warrant an MA classification.

Two of the best comedies to come out of the US in years…30 Rock and Curb Your Enthusiasm…both butchered by networks who assume the the average tv viewer has no interest in Quality. I guess we should be thankful that Wipe Out is not shown every day in Prime Time.
I can’t believe the trash they continue to repeat on 7 and 30 Rock keeps on getting ignored. Are the programmers at 7 nuts?
Some of the best comedy on TV, and it gets “Bumbed” to Sunday??
Blerg! Good that’s it’s in a more decent timeslot, but 10:30 or dare I say 7:30 would be better. Why show Vicar repeats on a Thursday when you have new 30 Rock in the cupboard, wasting away at 11pm Sunday?
11pm is better than 11.30pm but 10.30pm would be even better. Let’s hope that once the new eps of Scrubs are finished, 30 Rock gets t 10.30 slot.
I agree with Kyle and Matty J channel 7 should give over 30 Rock to 7 two to be put on at a decent time so at least all of us who have digital can watch it on tv.
i wonder what will replace scrubs when it is over? so many comedies in 7’s closet. family guy, american dad, How i met your mother, cougar town parks and rec, and gary unmarried and 100 questions will be out soon too. and sunny in philedalphia could go to the 11:30 slot.
Seven should put 30 rock on 7two at a reasonable time – so people can actually watch it.
Still not good enough!!!! Why oh why would they even bother buying the rights if they intend to keep it so late! Even 7two would be better. Not saying prime time but a 10:30 time slot maybe better…. Brilliant show not getting what it deserves.
Any word on a pacific repeat?
So in other words Seven is continuing to shift its quality comedies around at random to plug the gaps in its graveyard-shift schedule. Far easier to just watch it on 7Plus, who could be bothered chasing it around the schedule?
Positive: don’t have to stay up till midnight on a school night to watch 30 Rock.
Negative: still have to stay up till midnight on another school night to watch 30 Rock.
Scrubs will be winding its run up reasonably soon. In fact there’s only two more new episodes to go, so does this mean that 16th May -> Scrubs will be repeats?
Also wondering – we’re only about 5 episodes behind 30 Rock, will the first episode be a new one, and the 2nd a repeat? Or is this a way to fasttrack through the rest of 30 Rock’s episode available this season?
So David, only 1 episode for Louis Theroux at 11pm on the 9th???? =(
strange change
How about giving it a primetime spot; even over summer; it’s probably too little too late though; much like The Office the best of the series is behind it I think.
I hope Parks & Recreation returns soon.
Heck to the yes!
Getting there, but a few hours earlier please Seven.
Interesting David, watch this space I guess.
Honestly, how stupid are ch 7? 30 Rock is a fantastic show, and they put it on at 11! Thats just as bad as its original time slot. Why don’t they move it to Thursday night.
I was hoping this would have said something like “Thursdays 8:30”, but still better than 11:30 Monday. The flow with Scrubs would be great.
