When it finally returns to air next week, Hey Hey It’s Saturday will begin the first of two x 10 episode blocks for 2010.

There are also three State of Origin games to be played from late May midweek on Nine.

Another block of 10 episodes will air later in the year, likely to begin around September.

This style of block episodes is becoming a popular trend in Aussie television with Talkin’ ‘Bout Your Generation also returning for more eps later this year after airing a final episode on April 18th.

  1. I Dont think it matters what you call the show. its a great success as far asDarryl the cast and crew . So good to watch something worth while instead of violence and sex . Very good clean fun.I loved ozzy too. good stuff.

  4. I Dont care what the critics say . Hey hey its saturday is the best and utmost entertaining show we have had the pleasure to watch for such a long time. It stands out from the rest of our drama television shows. On behalf of my family friends and myself i commend who ever brought it back to air. We certainly wont get sick of it, in fact we cant get enoughof it. Good clean Genuine entrtainment. We say Bring it on:

  6. A lot has changed since hey hey went off the air. Saturday night is a dump night so Nine have to put it on during the week to get the ratings and i’m quite happy withe the name staying the same.
    the name is iconic so why change, it works very well. wednesday in the title doesn’t have the same ring to it

  7. Yeah, they should just retitle it to ‘Hey Hey’. They can’t continue with ‘Saturday’ in the title as before it had meaning as in ‘Yay.. it is Saturday!’ And Hey Hey it’s Saturday to me seemed a celebration of it being Saturday.

    It now being on Wednesday, and saying it is Saturday is somewhat strange.
