  1. My dad met Johnny in Sydney and he agreed to chat to me on the phone yesterday. He was the nicest bloke ever, we chatted for a good five minutes. So hate the logie organisers guys, but don’t dis the awesome bloke who gave his time for your entertainment

  2. Food for thought…If the room at the Logies was set out differently (i.e like the emmy’s where everyone is facing the front and not ignoring the person on stage while getting plastered) may make for a better evening. It’s so rude every year to hear chatter going on in the background while those on stage are trying to speak.

Wish i could ring Johnny and warn him.
    Cringe much!

  3. Actually they have scaled down the internatiional guests in recent years. Those of us old enough can remember how Nine used to bring out a half dozen celebrities at a time, enticing them with holidays in Far North Queensland and all the booze they could drink. Still, many of them would be more entertaining than half of the Australian “celebrities” in the audience.

  4. nothing annoys me more about the logies is every year they think they have to an american guest who knows no one or nothing about the shows they talk about just for once i would like to see an australian logies with no international guests

  5. Oh dear, this is gonna be awkward. Just like every other time they’ve had some random US Actor/’Celebrity’ who has nothing to do with anything and has no idea who anyone in the room is.

I agree with ms.ant, at least if it was an Aussie it’d be related in *some* way at least. I don’t know what the rationale behind it is. Is it somehow more ‘legititmate’ if an American pretends to care? Or is this case in particular just good old Channel 9 cross-promotion?

  6. I’m surprised that they havn’t brought down anyone from the Two and a Half Men cast, considering it has practically been Nine’s flagship show over the last few years…..

  7. I love TBBT and johnny seems like an ok guy but I always cringe when some US actor who knows nothing about our tv or our history gets up and praises it. Ugh!

  8. Awesome, he was great on Roseanne and I love BBT!!!!! He may not be A-lister but hes not second rate mikeys! The logies however, I agree with you, how many times will i cringe this year, although i feel like its the current trend with all awards shows lately, here and international.

  9. Why don’t they get Aussie who work overseas as presenters for the Logies instead stars who don’t know anything about Australia shows. Like Simon Baker, Kylie or Jesse Spencer or Portia DeRossi.

  10. So Johnny is the best they could do? Sorry he’s great in BBT and his other work but really can’t they do any better?

Now if he was there with co-star Kaley Cuoco that would be something!
