Laurence Fishburne has renewed with CBS crime drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
The Hollywood Reporter notes he has signed to continue through the show’s 2010-11 season.
Fishburne, who joined the show after William Petersen left, will feature in a life-and-death cliffhanger in the season finale.
The long-running show continues to perform for CBS in the US.
Meanwhile Fishburne’s originally-penned play, Riff Raff, based on drug dealing and organised crime, has opened in East London at the small but influential Arcola theatre.

When is ch9 going to show CSI?
Any idea when CSI’s returning to Nine? We’ve been seeing ads that say ‘coming soon’ all year, I believe the last we saw of the show was 10×07 (as part of the triple-crossover) in November.
