  1. I had a strong feeling they would repeat it, given the nature and cost of the show. I did tape it on video on Wednesday night, but I’m going to wait and record it on hardrive on sat night.

I did notice a 2 hour tba in 7twos epg on Sunday night, right next to other war-related shows, so it was a pretty safe assumption of mine that it would get the repeat treatment.

That said, I’ll be recording it on 7one because of higher pic quality.

  2. I am kind of gobsmacked that anyone could sacrifice a multi-million-dollar first-run drama produced by HBO, Spielberg and Hanks and years in the making… for a cheesy, smutty low-def relic from an era best forgotten.

Ah well, takes all sorts to make an audience, I guess.

(Kind of amazed at some of the comments on the Herald Sun site, too – “I love Hey Hey, I turned over to The Pacific for 10 minutes but it was boring.” Yeah, I watched 10 random minutes from the middle of Citizen Kane and that was boring too. Sheesh.)

  3. I’d prefer this to be replayed every week like Seven do with some of their other shows. Either that or put it up on PLUS7. I already record other shows that aren’t available elsewhere at the same time.

I’m a Hey Hey viewer and i’m not going to sacrifice that for The Pacific, but that said, i’m wanting to watch The Pacific should it be available at an alternate time or place (7TWO or PLUS7).

I’ll be recording this on Saturday night.

  4. Awesome… For once, I’m happy that Ch 7 are repeating a show as I missed it because I was looking after 2 of my nephews.

I’m glad it beat Hey, Hey last night.. I saw some of that and looks like Daryl Somers is as funny as ever…

  5. OK, this will give me a chance to see the end which was cut off my recording of it last night (I was out).
Foxtel usually records with an adequate buffer on the end. What went wrong? I hear it was mostly ads with bits of program in between – is that why it ran late?
I nearly wiped the recording (no end = no damn good) but thought there would probably be a repeat.
Is it worth watching? It did sound really interesting.
