Returning: The Cleveland Show. Gone: Supernatural (again)

Sorry Supernatural fans....new episodes of The Cleveland Show are moving in.

This one probably won’t go down too well….

Next Monday night will be the last screening of Supernatural in its 10pm slot, and it has been spooked from TEN’s schedule.

In what seems like deja vu, the show will disappear after poor ratings (gee can we get any more puns in?).

The following week, Monday 19th, TEN has a lengthy MasterChef premiere followed by GNW and TEN News.

A week later, April 25th, The Cleveland Show returns with “Field of Streams” as a Series Return at 10pm, following a 90 minute GNW.

On Monday night Supernatural took just 330,000 viewers, despite fans running online campaigns championing its return.

  1. Stupid 10 – How in the hell would you know how many watched supernatural?
You probably only surveyed losers who watch some other crap. GNW sucks why don’t you scrap that instead and put supernatural on at a better time and stick with it.

  2. Why do CH10 do this? I was watching master chef and saw an ad for some Cleaverland crap…. No Super?… Ch10 u suck i will not watch Ch10 on mondays until super is back

  3. I think we should send postcards demanding the show return to our screens again! Why is any1 suprised that it had lower ratings when they put it back on. they air it late, infrequently & don’t advertise it’s return when it is put back on!?! As others have posted its the same old shit they did to “the x-files”. I only watch the stupid channel for “supernatural” anyway :-(. Channel ten u suck,”seriously”!

  4. I think channel 10 is going to have less viewers for this show than Supernatural. Maybe if they advertised Supernatural more and actually aired the show at its proper time instead of Good news week going overtime more viewers would probably watch Supernatural. But I think channel 10 has screwed around Supernatural fans so many times that they are fed up and wont be watching this channel anymore.

  5. Way to go Channel 10, ignore fans of shows that you bought and refuse to screen. Keep moving starting times, take a week off here and there, and utterly mess with any semblance of ‘programming’. then decide to not show it at all. Heaven forbid someone might want to watch a series on commercial television week after week in sequence. This isn’t the only show you do this with either.

  6. This is like ground hog day… they do the samething every year, i cant really say much cuz everyone pretty much have said what i would have, but to do this after a return and only show 3 episodes thats just wrong, who do they have running channel 10… but i kinda new they would do this when it came bak, i think they just put it on untill something like Masterchef!! comes bak only cuz its from oz.. i really hope it flops cuz 8:30 is supernaturals times slot not damn cooking..

  7. I’ve had it with Channel 10 and Supernatural. I’m sick of complaining about so the answer is download the episodes direct from the US. I suggest every other Supernatural fans to do the same.
Once again Australian programmers don’t care about viewership/ loyalty.
Apparently event television which happens a few times a year is all they worry about.
Good luck wit Masterchef because The Biggest Loser & So You Think You Can Dance have been dogs this year.
Soon Go will be beating 10.

  8. What!!!! The Cleveland show should be on channel 7 anyways, like after The Family Guy or something, everyone here is right saying that Supernatural isn’t at a good time slot.. it should be on earlier like back when it started! 8:30 Monday nights!! And I cant stand Good News Week! It’s so shit!!! I hate channel10 f***ing around with such a good show! I just wanna see the rest of the season for f*** sake!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. grrrrrrrrrrr
ten should just get another channel like Go or 7two instead of just canceling supernatural over and over again! as it’s incredibly frustrating!
(although the new season of supernatural isn’t as good as the old ones i still enjoy it and think it should still be on air as it won’t come out on dvd in another year or so!)

  10. This is highly frustrating. I dont trust ten to put it back on. I must admit it was very hard to remember what the storyline was when they restarted recently, and that could be a reason for the poor(er) ratings – people just could’t get into the swing of the storyline. I wish ten would just sell it to another station and be done with it. Both 7 and 9 have their secondary channels, so they have capacity to show a show like supernatural; ten is only interested in showing sport on its secondary channel, so its no wonder they dont value show’s like this.

  11. I agree with everyone here, and make a statement that i am sorely disappointed in Channel 10. Honestly. If they want people to stop downloading the episodes, then they should just show the rest of the series in one hit, not ‘Let’s show 3 episodes to please the huge fan cult following it has, then wait another century before showing it again’ No one would stand for that. Supernatural is a brilliant show, and deserves respect from the network, as opposed to shows like MasterChef. Can anyone say My Kitchen Rules all over again? Or Australian Idol for the umpteenth time?

  12. This is absolute Crap Channel10! I have been watching Supernatural ever since it started and we want to see the bloody end to season 5. I work two jobs and still wait up every Monday to watch it even though you keep bumping up the timeslot. We want Season 5 on the air now, not 5 months down the track! Lift your game and get this show back on otherwise we are pulling the plug on your crappy station!

  13. instead of complaining about poor goddamn ratings or people dowloading the show illegally 10 should give great shows like supernatural a decent timeslot instead of wasting them on crap like masterchef and good news week which are always running over their time limits and have copycat shows on pretty much every tv station or give the rights to air it to a station that will do just that and not cancel it half way through the season bring it back and then cancel it again after only three episodes.

  14. Well they did it again promised the return of Supernatural, aired 3 episodes and pulled the plug again!!!!! Wake up Channel 10 change the damm timeslot GNW always runs over put Supernatural on at a decent time, isnt it about time you give the show the credit it deserves!!!! or are you just planing on showing up at the AHBL II convention in May for the fun of it.
    Do the right thing!!!!!

  15. Ten sucks! Reminds me of their treatment of The X Files years ago when it was having poor ratings in it’s final two seasons. Ten screwed it around by changing the night, and then they finally ended putting it on very very late Saturday nights. Ten could at least try the same with Supernatural. It’s a bad time slot but still better than not on at all. (I don’t believe Ten’s “it will return later in the year” crap).

  16. frankly ten f***ed up again by cancelling the show half way through the series and honestly i dont give a f*** about ten anymore they’ve lost my respect… they’ve pissed me off for the last time and you wonder why people go ahead and download… oh wait its because the f***tards at ten keep cancelling good shows, either air the show until the season ends or don’t air it at all and don’t complain about people downloading stupid cleveland show well hello your airing supernatural at 10pm on a monday night where all the fans ahh in bed coz we all have f***ing jobs to go to.. remember when it aired at the timeslot of 8.30pm how many fans did supernatural get then?? f***ing so pi**ed off…

  17. To all those people out there saying that the Supernatural fan base is too small, well frankly, you’re idiots. The so called rating figures in no way represent how many people are really watching. If 10 would only keep up with the US, put it on at a decent time and keep it there. They said it was coming back later this year, but God knows when that will be. There’s a convention in Aus in a few months and the show has been canned yet again. Not only is that embarassing, but it’s kind of insulting to the actors. At the very least 10 needs to finish the season so that it can be released on DVD. And the irony of 10 pimping out their interviews with the cast, right after its been taken off the air. Oh 10, seriously, what is wrong with you?

  18. i love suprenatural. i always watch it when i can and i dont get why it doesnt get more viewers, its obviousely popular. i just really hope it can get a good timeslot on the new channel ten channel (along with smallville which i also love). there is absolutely no way that the cleveland show will be getting more viewers than supernatural. channel ten are such f***ing idiots.

  19. Channel 10, you make me rage and I blame the station entirely for the poor ratings. I have watched every episode aired on Australian TV since the very first and this decision angers me more than anything in the world.

I fail to see why the fans should be punished when it is clearly the stations fault for these poor ratings. Maybe if they had continued to fast track from the U.S. and advertise and market it properly back when they first began stuffing it around they might have secured a larger, more loyal fanbase. How can you blame people for losing interest in a show that is aired with no consistency?

Pushing these episodes back even further is only going to make the ratings even worse when and if they even decide to air it again.

I can only hope that they will wise up and hand the rights over to another station.. but then again I have little faith in Channel 10 these days.

  20. To those saying ‘suck it up, it’s a dumb show anyway’ – just because you do not like it does not make it so. Imagine it was your favourite show,I bet you’d be quick to get on you high horse too. To those saying ‘it doesn rate’ – for whatever reason it does not, I bet it still rates better than repeats ad nauseum of ‘Law & Order: Whichever Version We Feel Like Putting On’. And not all of us can watch it on the night; doesn’t mean we aren’t watching at all. To those bagging ‘The Cleveland Show’ – I don’t like it either (despite the brilliance that is ‘Family Guy’), but the fans of that show are allowed to be happy that it is back, as much as we deserve to be upset about SPN. To Channel 10; what did you think was going to happen when you messed us up? We would patiently wait in hopes you would return it? Seriously?

  21. Bummer. I must admit, I found other ways to keep myself up to date until Supernatural’s mid-season US break, after which I was happy to wait until Channel 10 screeened the episodes down under to see the remainder of the series.

Still, at least I can get myself up to date now. Then buy the season 4 DVDs when they’re released in the future and enjoy the season (without any breaks).
