In the world of Timeshifted data, most dramas are doing well if they pick up another 100,000 viewers.
It’s generally an increase of around 10% – 15% on their original audience.
Last week The Vampire Diaries picked up 36,000 viewers on GO! Yet it’s original audience was just 17,000. That makes an increase of 211%!

What station is vampire Diaries on? can someone tell me?
Finished on GO! on Monday.
Great to see such good shows at the top of the ratings!
vampire diaries is totally the best show of the american tv season by far, way better than glee (which i also love) but glees characters are do 2 dimensional
Spot on Andrew, that’s why I now record that timeslot.
Wow! Two of my longtime favourite shows at the top!! Excellent!
Jack!
Thanks Andrew… yes makes sense now. Elephant stamp for you.
Still a huge increase.
From ratings, Monday April 19:
Wilfred SBS ONE 147,000
The Vampire Diaries Go! 146,000 – this was the 8.30 airing.
Dead Gorgeous ABC1 132,000
17,000 was for the 1am repeat – which would have been when most fans record it to avoid conflicts with other shows including Masterchef.
That was the late night repeat I believe.
Doesn’t this just make these shows less appealing to advertisers, and more likely that the commercial channels will run the evil banner advertising during shows with high timeshift ratings…
25-54s = 107,000 and Total People = 155,000
It’s 107,000 Not 17,000…just saw the ratings published mediaweek…
Figures were only released yesterday arvo so not sure what figures you’re referring to. If it’s a typo then it was made at OzTAM not by me. I agree it seems like one out of the box…
