The W channel will premiere The Dr. Oz Show in July.
Dr. Mehmet Oz, a Turkish-US cardiothoracic surgeon and author, has been a regular on The Oprah Winfrey Show and Larry King Live.
His syndicated series co-produced by Winfrey’s Harpo Productions and Sony Pictures Television has been on air in the US since September.
W channel manager Penny Win said, “We are thrilled to have Dr. Oz join our powerhouse daytime line-up. He is the doctor that everyone would love to have looking after them and I am confident that our viewers will embrace this exciting new series.
“Each episode is packed with potentially life-saving information in what Dr. Oz calls an ‘embarrassment free zone’ where nothing is off limits or out of bounds. W viewers will enjoy the variety of topics covered and presented in a fascinating and entertaining way.”
