Elizabeth Chong sues over cooking show

Television chef Elizabeth Chong is suing a TV producer over 'misuse' of cooking show Elizabeth Chong's Tiny Delights.

Television chef Elizabeth Chong is suing TV producer Ron Brown over 2004 cooking show Elizabeth Chong’s Tiny Delights.

Chong has launched action in the Federal Magistrates Court to stop Brown using the show, which aired on SBS and Foxtel, and companion cookbook.

The Sunday Herald Sun notes she is seeking damages and money to cover legal costs.

Chong said she had received only about $500 in royalties while Brown “has made and will continue to make substantial profits”. She said he had been selling a DVD box set of the series and a companion cookbook without her permission.

She claimed her company, Elizabeth Chong Pty Ltd, co-owned the copyright of the cookbook, while she and her company held copyright on some recipes.

Chong rose to success during regular appearances on Good Morning Australia on TEN.
