With Pilot screenings underway in the US, new projects for Matthew Perry, Paul Reiser and David Lyons are tracking well.

Variety has a report on pilot screenings that are currently underway at US networks.

Here are some of the projects at ABC and NBC that are said to be attracting good buzz.

ABC:
Mr. Sunshine
A self-involved manager of a second-rate sports arena begins to re-evaluate his life on his 40th birthday, stars Matthew Perry and Allison Janney.

Happy Endings
After a couple breaks up at the altar, they must figure out how to maintain their friendships.

It Takes a Village
Two exes and their new significant others raise their teen boy.

Generation Y
A doc-style scripted dramedy that follows a disparate group of former high school classmates.

Body of Proof (formerly Body of Evidence)
A procedural that centres on a tenacious medical examiner with a background as a neurosurgeon, with Dana Delaney.

No Ordinary Family
Strange things begin to happen when a typical American family suddenly finds itself with new “abilities,” with Michael Chiklis and Julie Benz.

NBC:
Outsourcing
A demoted manager is shipped to India to oversee customer-service reps.

Next
Paul Reiser tries to balance life as husband, father and friend.

Rockford Files
An updated version of the 1970s NBC series about Jim Rockford, a roguish private eye, with Dermot Mulroney.

Love Bites
Loosely connected stories of love, sex and marriage revolving around two characters.

The Cape
A former cop is set up as a criminal and becomes a masked hero to clear his name, stars David Lyons.

  1. I wonder how many of these show will last beyond the first series.

    The premises for Outsourcing sounds familiar didn’t the BBC do a show like this before.

  2. I would watch ‘No Ordinary Family’ (Diehard fan of Michael Chiklis right here), ‘Outsourcing’ and ‘The Cape’, they all sound like stuff I’d enjoy.

  3. I like the look of Matthew Perry’s new project!

    Also David they missed NBC’s ‘The Event’ which is getting good buzz as well.

    Ah yes another crop of new shows to look forward to over the coming year.
