June 10th will bring good news to viewers in regional and remote areas of Western Australia.
On that date a third digital-only commercial television service will be introduced and digital simulcasting of current services will be progressively extended into the Geraldton, Kalgoorlie and Western Zone television licence areas.
Digital simulcasts of the current WIN and Prime television services will commence on June 10th at transmitter sites at Mingenew, Kalgoorlie and Karratha. On the same date, a new digital-only third commercial television service will commence at all digital sites.
The exact timing of the roll out will be made available on ACMA’s website after being submitted by broadcasters.

“ACMA has also allocated a satellite TV licence to a joint venture of Southern Cross and Imparja for Central and Eastern Australia region. So finally, people living in the remote part of northern and western Australia will get to see a full range of Channel Ten programs, at last.”
woohoo! brilliant!
I was about to say. Nothing has happened at Prime / GWN to facilitate this.
Clint,
TEN West WA coming out of MediaHub at Ingleburn, the first WIN service to come out of the ABC/WIN Joint Venture.

What about by satellite,I bet not.
Wouldnt it be GWN not Prime? even though they are basically the same thing…
Clint
TEN West is a joint venture shared between WIN and GWN. similar to DDT, TDT and MDV. So both WIN and GWN will be responsible for owning TEN West.
David, do you know which network will be looking after this? I heard it was going to come from Prime?
