TEN West launch for regional WA

Regional viewers in Western Australia will finally get a third digital channel beginning its rollout from June 10th.

June 10th will bring good news to viewers in regional and remote areas of Western Australia.

On that date a third digital-only commercial television service will be introduced and digital simulcasting of current services will be progressively extended into the Geraldton, Kalgoorlie and Western Zone television licence areas.

Digital simulcasts of the current WIN and Prime television services will commence on June 10th at transmitter sites at Mingenew, Kalgoorlie and Karratha. On the same date, a new digital-only third commercial television service will commence at all digital sites.

The exact timing of the roll out will be made available on ACMA’s website after being submitted by broadcasters.

    The as of 2010, does new show any Ten programming, except for sports telecasts on ONE HD

    TEN West is a joint venture shared between WIN and GWN. similar to DDT, TDT and MDV. So both WIN and GWN will be responsible for owning TEN West.
