Returning: Dancing with the Stars

The tenth season of Dancing with the Stars reeturns to 6:30pm Sundays with Sunday Night once again being rested.

Seven has now confirmed the airdate for the tenth season of Dancing with the Stars.

It begins 6:30pm Sunday June 27th.

This will see Sunday Night rested once more by the network.

Last year the show performed well for Seven on Sundays, but it was up against Australian Idol rather than MasterChef Australia. Seven will be hoping that the earlier timeslot helps it perform better against the cooking juggernaut.

It will be a lengthy premiere -clocking in at a marathon 2.5 hours.

Daniel MacPherson and Sonia Kruger return with a new sizzling season and a new batch of celebrities from the entertainment and sporting worlds who will tonight be hitting the dance floor for the first time. Our celebrities are; George Houvardas – Packed to the Rafters, Esther Anderson – Home and Away, Alex Fevola – footy wag and celebrity photographer, Tamara Jaber – singer, Jo Beth Taylor – TV presenter, David Wirrpanda – AFL legend, Jason Stevens – former NRL star, Rachael Finch – Miss Universe Australia 2009, Blair McDonough – actor, Melinda Schneider – country music star and everyone’s favourite DIY guy, Rob Palmer, from Better Homes and Gardens.

  1. Rachael will be first or second out… the over 55’s don’t take too kindle to the sexy younger girls, and they are usually some of the first casualties of the show

  2. Rachael Finch will emerge from the dance floor as the hottest female Tv personality in this country especially when viewers see her dance the tango in that skimpy red hot dancewear outfit he been showing off on Sevens Tv promos.

  3. Silly to rest Sunday Night its hit its strides in ratings terms this year; I honestly thought it would have gone to 7.30 that way in 10 weeks time Seven would be almost ready to fast-track bones and castle again to Sunday Nights.

  4. Dancing will no doubt perform well despite MasterChef and a lack of actual “stars”. It will have the best lead-in of the week and will maintain the news audience. Over 55s avoid MC like the plague and jump on DWTS like Anna Nicole-Smith on a rich old man.

  5. The premiere will probably be pushed back in South Australia due to the AFL match between Adelaide and Melbourne on that day (which starts at 4pm local time). From Week 2 onwards it will be shown at the normal time of 6.30pm.
