Aaron battered from MasterChef

Aaron Harvie has been eliminated from MasterChef Australia in a Fish & Chips cook-off against Alvin Quah.

Aaron Harvie has been eliminated from MasterChef Australia.

The 37 year old band manager lost out to Alvin Quah in a pressure test.

Alvin, Aaron and Jimmy had all faced off in a challenge that required them to name various species of fish.

Jimmy, who had recently been added back into the game, came out on top, sending popular contestants Aaron and Alvin into a head to head battle cooking Fish & Chips.

Both took a different approach to the dish, with Alvin adding some Asian flavours while Aaron served up a classic Fish & Chips.

But Harvie was upbeat in defeat, acknowledging all that he had learned in the contest.

“I reignited my creative side. It’s like another part of me has woken up,” he said.

“For that I will be enteranlly grateful.”

The remaining six contestants for the finals week are Adam, Claire, Courtney, Callum, Jimmy and Alvin.

  1. how jimmy is still there is an outrage- can not cook anything but curry- such a shame both alvin and arron did not go through last night ,……….

  2. It took a while for me to warm up to Aaron, i admire how he took the “always getting picked last at the team challenges” thing, and used it as motivation to become a better chef.

    Well done dude.

I’m sticking with an Alvin-Adam-Courtney finale (assuming it’ll be a 3 person final). Otherwise, I’ll call it an Adam – Alvin final.

  3. Alvin, Adam or Claire that is the order of who should win i think as they have proved themselves a lot. the other 3 need to go. Jimmy first as he can only cook one dish.

  4. The wrong people are leaving this year. Jimmy can only cook curry dishes and he isnt even consistent at those. Marion, Johnathan and Aaron should still be in the finals.

Its also one rule for Callum and another for everyone else. Hes been let off the hook hundreds of times.

  5. ok ok, my perfect top 6 would be for them to swap courtney and jimmy with marion and jonathon! i think most people would agree, because those 6 were always the best. i wish they could just get away with a swap!

  6. Bit sad about this. Went through half the series disliking Aaron, then came to enjoy his self-effacing manner, and his acknowledgement of his weaknesses. Then to see Curry Jimmy get through, was a a bit hard to swallow. I’d like to say I will no longer watch the series, but everyone says that and then continues watching. I’d put my money on the worst contestant ever to contest a cooking challenge to win, but I’ve been wrong all the way through, so Congratulations Callum – You heard it here first!

  7. Aaron was my favourite contestant so he Shouldn’t have gone, I’m angry at this show and I will never watch it again…oh, I’m not eight, I guess I’ll just move on with my life.

  8. if you dont want to know who has been eliminated the answer is simple dont come here before you watch it i found out that Skye had been eliminated before i watched it but it was my stupid fault for coming on here before i watched it

  9. No!! Aaron was my fave! I can;t believe Jimmy made it through, he has no style and is a complete wanker. I hope he and callum get eliminated so it can be Claire, Adam and Alvin in the final three. Dammit, Aaron, you should’ve been in the top 3 ='(

  10. Jason – understand your frustration, but not sure why you would look up a TV news website (which always breaks news once aired in eastern states) if you are hooked on a tv competition.

  11. thank god. can’t believe the Kurry King still in. surprised hasnt made curry ice cream. was a good elimination challenge tho. gonna have MC withdrawels after next week
