Three SBS productions have been recognised by the Accolade Film, Television, New Media & Videography Awards in Los Angeles.
Wilfred from Renegade Productions has won a “Best of Show” (aww not “Best in Show?”) for Comedy, described as “a wacky take into the lives of Australia’s darkest and most dysfunctional family. This cult hit is now being seen around the world.”
It also won Director Tony Rodgers an Award of Merit.
East West 101 from Knapman Wyld won two Awards of Excellence for Miniseries and Leading Actor (Malik – Don Hany).
It also won an Award of Merit for Supporting Actor (Skerrit – Gerry Lepkowski).
Renegade’s Logie-nominated documentary Last Chance Saloon, which aired as part of the Secrets and Lives series won an Award of Merit.
The Accolade Awards have recognised productions from over 44 countries.
East West 101 recently took home Gold at the New York Festivals Film and TV awards in May this year while Wilfred is to have a US production with FX.
East West 101‘s third season is currently in pre-production. Plans to replay season two this month are currently on hold.

Wilfred is a great show. Very well deserved. Haven’t seen the other two unfortunately.
all wonderfully edgy, original stuff. more of it, please!
Three fine shows. It’s a pity they don’t have the audience they deserve.
Wilfred is hilarious! I wish I’d watched the first series. Congrats.
