But TV Tonight hears there have been some changes to the series already.

Initially set to air Live it will now be pre-recorded.

The initial shoot planned for mid-September is now out. A Nine source says it is now more likely to run early in 2011.

  1. Um, hello, Nine program execs? Ten has already done this – it was called Celebrity MasterChef and it bombed. I note Ten are not doing a celebrity version of their flagship show again, and have opted to go with ‘tweens. They know how to recognise a turkey, but apparently, Nine doesn’t.

@newtaste – how excruciatingly embarrassing was Robert Williams on ACA with that cooking schtick? I was busting a gut laughing at her, it was so damned pathetic. I’m willing to bet good money that she is going to be on this atrocity. The Nine network, for reasons unknown, is in love with her.

  2. More lame rehash from Nine .

You’d think they’d taken notice of the poor response to Celebrity Masterchef not to bother.

Nine are very conservative, much like their dying audiences.
Ten has been struggling for audience shares for ages, and kept at it giving NEW shows a chance.
    Eg

    Big brother
    Australian Idol
So you think you can dance
    Masterchef
    7Pm project
    Talking bout my generation
Good news week (originally from ABC)

Now they have had a multitude of hits by giving new programming a go.

How many new popular shows have nine produced in recent history , 20 to 1!?
This show has Fail written all over it, if nine is involved.

  3. A “big international name”?
One that has an interest at Crown?
One that has an association with Nine?
I wonder who that could be.

But I think that rules Tracy Grimshaw out of the celebrity contestants …

  4. Roberta Williams will Have to be on this! She was on ACA last week doing an apparent ‘audition’ for Seven’s cooking program. Was just pathetic. She is a must for this Nine show.
