Demolition has begun this week at Channel Seven’s former home at Epping.

“Using Gladiator props as wrecking balls?” they asked.
ATN7 opened in 1956 at Mobbs Lane, Epping, and later expanded with five studios for shows including The Mavis Brampton Show, Seven News, Kingswood Country, Rafferty’s Rules, Wheel of Fortune, Sons and Daughters, A Country Practice, Hey Dad!, Sunrise, 11AM, All Saints, Home and Away and Packed to the Rafters.
The studios closed earlier this year when new facilities opened at Australian Technology Park in Redfern.
The site is set to become a housing development.

Technically, Seven is in Eveleigh and that’s certainly the suburb address for Australian Technology Park which houses Seven. It just seems more hipster to say Redfern? I’m glad I saw the old building inside. It was sure a maze in parts.

Yes a sad day, went there for one of thos reality shows in the 80’s. The Perfect Match competitor, Love machine was it?
All the wooden acting has been moved to Redfern.
Aw so sad, I’ll miss it.
Sadly yes alot of the 7 studio are aspestdos ridden. It’s mainly the floors and the titles
I seriously hope the ATN archive made the move to Redfern.
There goes part of my childhood. Fond memories of Miss Patricia, Mr. Do-Bee and all my new friends having fun at play on the Romper Room set.
