Hugh Sheridan on Play School

Seriously, isn there anything Hugh Sheridan can't do?

Seriously, isn there anything Hugh Sheridan can’t do?

He strides through Packed To The Rafters with apparent ease, shows his musical skills performing cabaret renditions of Anthony Newley songs and now he makes his debut on Play School alongside Justine Clarke.

His episode is part of a new series called Five Senses which starts Monday, July 19.

In this episode Hugh and Justine explore the sense of smell. Hugh plays shopkeeper at a number of delicious smelling stalls at a ‘smelly market’. He helps Justine choose flowers, fish and bread for a barbeque she has organised for the Play School toys. Hugh then has the not so sweet-smelling job of cleaning up as the garbage man.

Sheridan can be seen at Wednesday, July 21 at 9:30am and will also appear in the following week on Tuesday, July 27 with Georgie Parker and on Friday, July 30 with Alex Papps on ABC1.

  1. Not sure I agree with Malcom’s comment – Georgie Parker, Justine Clark, Deb Mailman, Matt Passmore – all grace Play School. and have continued to work in film or stage or tv.

  2. both his single and album flopped big time even when doing appearances on all of channel 7’s shows including dwts but other than that he seems likeable enough i guess.

  3. Young actors seem to love the gig! Many soap and drama actors have strutted their stuff in Studio 22 in Sydney for Play School. However, it is not well paid or glamorous – but very enjoyable – according to those who have done it. I had an attachment on it many years ago on the production side, and the rehearsals were just so much fun – pretty blue actually!
