Q & A: July 12

Q&A is looking for witty, clever videos which encourage people to get on the electoral roll before the election.

At this rate the ABC could be calling the Federal Election before Julia Gillard.

Q&A is looking for witty, clever videos which encourage people to get on the electoral roll before the election.

The maker of the video judged to be the best at selling the message will be awarded a $1000 cash prize, and their work will screen on Q&A (cash prizes aren’t exactly commonplace from the ABC).

The competition closes on Wednesday 4 August. Full details and terms and conditions at abc.net.au/tv/qanda/vote.htm.

Next Monday 12 July, live (AEST) at 9.35pm on ABC1, host Tony Jones will be joined by:

Christopher Pyne, Shadow Minister for Education, Apprenticeships and Training;
Julie Owens, Labor MP from Sydney’s west;
John Elliott, businessman and former Liberal President;
Scott Ludlam, Australian Greens Senator; and
Judge Felicity Hampel SC, Victorian judge.

    With ads like that it is no wonder politics is such a joke these days.
