  3. family guy has been given 3 launches in primetime and has never fired, i doubt a 4th chance would be any different. it belongs at 10:30 where it rates decently.

  5. I have to agree that airing the rest of family guy makes more sense than some of these old out of date comedies.Fox 8 being a cable network screens those in the early evenings without problems I can’t see why 7 can’t do the same.

    What I find really disappointing is the lack of a home grown Australian Sitcom similar to your 2.5 men/How I met your Mother kind of shows these days

    But i love HIMYM, love Criminal Minds, actually like Cougar Town, and love Matty Johns Show. There all on so i can’t complain. July 29, Matty Johns is on at 12am right??? Criminal Minds is odd to slap in midde of these shows though.

    Seven really screwed HIMYM, there’s a big following for the show here, but Seven never knew what to do with it. It’s better than 2.5 Men, shame Seven treated it so pooorly, cos it could have and should have rated as well as 2.5 Men does.

  7. @catherine – that was the initial premise Cougar Town but they soon realized it wasn’t going that way and there was debate about changing the name of the show, which I think has now been shut down.

  8. The problem i think with Cougar Town is its name. I just think personally it should have another name. I thought when the show began it would just be about Couurtney Cox’s character hook up with young guys. But it isn’t like that.

    There are actually some nice serious moments in the show. I for one ejoy watching it.

  10. So Melbourne et al is just getting the same two episodes that the other states are getting an hour earlier, and we’re getting a Criminal Minds repeat at 8.30pm instead?

    I’m happy with that, and seeing Cougar Town shipped slowly off to late nights… 🙂

Instead of repeats of Vicar of Dibley and Kath and Kim and any other old comedy show, here’s an idea, I don’t think Seven has thought of this, gee now why didn’t think of this hmm, here’s goes, braces yourselves it’s a good one, it’s mind blowing, I mean mind + idea = blown. How about actually airing the rest of Family Guy. Would be nice to actually see the series without having to fork out $30 for the DVD.

  12. FFS! I love both shows and them constantly moving times and currently showing re-runs and it is just a huge pain in the ass! I have all 4 seasons of HIMYM so i have no need to see re-runs when i already have them! Prime would be better to just showing one new one, followed by cougar town and then have something on at 9:30 like they were before they pulled it the first time.

  13. The positive of all of this is that almost all of the shows are still gonna be on which is Much better than randomly taking them off air without much warning!

  15. I like ‘How I Met Your Mother’ but OMG why show 2 re-runs mixed in with a new ep, show 2 new then leave the re-runs for when the season is done.

    Looks like Cougar Town is being slowly nudged out, pity I like the show, so much so I’ve seen all the first season already, sorry Seven you’ve screwed up a potentially great show and great night.

  16. how about kath&kim reruns to replace the vicar of dibley? they haven’t been reran much lately, last time on saturdays at the beginning of last year IIRC.

  17. True beauty is rating well, they should do a single cougartown next week and keep true beauty at 10:30. especially if it is going back there the following week.

    sad to see vicar of dibley end, last night it was the easter episode which is one of the funniest hours of any show i have ever seen. if anyone hasn’t seen it, go and get it somehow at some point in your life.
