GO! and GEM has started transmissions in Darwin at 9 am this morning (october 18( programs have started 🙂
see article on NT News saying 18 october the debut date for the GO and GEM channels. the article can be found on ntnews.com.au/article/2010/09/24/181821_ntnews.html
I was advised from local Darwin sources recently that GO! and GEM is now scheduld to start on 18 October now to avoid clashing with the commonwealth games but i could be wrong.
well its now the 3rd and still no GO! so I guess there will be no GEM either tomorrow and as for 7mate in 3 weeks time who knows even if that will start
why can’t anyone tell us whats going on?
I will check this week (public holiday on Sydney on Monday).
It’s septemeber 30 today and still I have not seen LCN 99 or GO! as yet on my Darwin TV set
Johnson August 11, 2010 at 12:03 pm is surprised the NT haven’t picked up on this, I’ll tell you why, because there’s no crocodile photo opp attached to it (or some other foolish piece of triviality).
Regional SA doesn’t exist af far as Win are concerned……..
@Russell: For the record, regional WA doesn’t have Go, One or 72.
Regional SE South Australia has no multi-channels! Oh sorry no that’s wrong. WIN launched Channel 9 last year as Mount Gambier’s first multi channel 😉
Hopefully for regional SA sometime this millennium.
Surprisingly this has not been picked up by the Northern Territory News yet.
people, the sentence “has been available to viewers in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.” does not mean -only- in those cities. Talk about missing the point of the article!
So according to your article Canberra doesn’t get GO ! ?
What multichannels does Darwin get ….. do they get One ? sbs 2 etc ?
Must be twist your words day.
Darwin also gets 7TWO, ONE plus ABC and SBS multichannels.
Yes Gary, in Television terms, Hobart is treated as a regional market, as are Darwin and Canberra.
I bet Darwin viewers can’t wait for the high turnover of GO’s constant schedule changes… at least they will now be missing out on shows at the same time the rest of country is missing out on them!
So Hobart is a regional centre is it? Last time I looked it was a capital city and yes we’ve had Go since the word go.
Thanks David. It has been a long time coming, definitely looking forward to getting the new channel up here. 🙂
Sure enough if you go name dropping regional centres someone will pull you up somewhere along the line!
Anyhow, hope Darwin readers are happy.
Oh that’s a bit sad for Darwin, do they really get anything 1 year late??
wow it only took them a year!
Pretty sure Go! is not only avail in those top 5 markets.
I’m sure Go! is cleared in about 95% of all TV markets, including Tasmania and regional WA and SA.
Err, and most regional centres David….. don’t you dare forget about us! 😛
