Steven O’Donnell and Stephanie Bendixsen from ABC2’s Good Game are planning a special episode to all things space.

From Space Invaders to Star Trek (and everything in between) it will air 8:30pm Monday, 23rd August.

Now in its sixth season Good Game is the number one streamed program from ABC online and the highest downloaded program overall.

In this special episode, Good Game In Space the geeks have truly inherited the earth, the moon, and the stars – in fact the entire universe, as the show pays homage to space.

It’s a fact that more Australians play video games than go to the movies. It’s also a fact that there are more video games inspired by space than anything else.

So, featuring dozens of Space games and more sci fi references than you can fire a laser at, the good ship Good Game ably helmed by hosts Bajo (Steven O’Donnell) and Hex (Stephanie Bendixsen) embarks on a thirty minute mission to explore the best and the worst space games ever made; from Space Invaders to Star Trek, from Star Wars to Star Craft, we boldly go where no video game TV show has gone before.

  1. I love Good Game and we (we being my 12yr old son and I) also catch the youngster version SP which I have to say is a lot more entertaining! While they do a good job in the regular show, I just love Darren and his Laaazers and the extermination of noobs that frequently happens every show. lol

  2. Along with X-Play one of the best video game shows on tv.
Bajo and Hex work well together and i agree half an hour is too short…an hour long show would be better.

  3. Baj and Hex took a while to find their chemistry but I reckon the show is now great again.

I’m still carying a torch for Baj to appear on Good News Week…which airs at the same time as GG, admittedly, but he’d be brilliant.

  4. I disagree with both Peter and Nick, I’m a loyal watcher and I make sure I catch it every week and I’d say since Junglist left its become better. They seem to enjoy working with each other, its definately made the show funnier. I just wish the show went an hour, they could review more games that way.

  5. I agree with Peter. I have only caught about 4 episodes since the “bust-up”. It’s nothing against Hex (she’s hot) but it’s the way they went about sacking Jungalist.

  6. This is a great show. I also remember another video games inspired show that used to play on Channel Nine on Saturday mornings called The Zone during the days of Sega Megadrive and Super Nintendo. Would love to see that again.

  7. I have to admit i have not watched this show since the “bust up” a while ago. The show just doesnt have the same feel it use to have, in my opinion anyway. These days there are always other thing to watch.
