Insight: Aug 3

Senator Bob Brown fronts up to Insight for a forum on The Greens' policies.

For the next three weeks Insight will be focussing on issues central to the Federal Election.

Tomorrow night Senator Bob Brown fronts up for a forum on The Greens.

The Greens are polling higher than ever before. They are likely to hold the balance of power in the Senate and may win their first seat in the House of Representatives.

On Tuesday August 3 at 7.30pm on SBS One, Insight asks: What do you get when you vote Green?

Greens leader Senator Bob Brown will be part of the discussion with representatives from both the Labor and Liberal parties.

Insight will ask why people vote Green and whether it is simply a protest against the two major parties.

And Insight will test The Greens’ policies on its panel of swinging voters from marginal electorates.

In the run-up to the Federal election, Insight is covering a key election issue in depth each week.

More than 5,000 Insight Facebook fans (www.facebook.com/InsightSBS) are debating election topics online and you can also follow Insight on Twitter at www.twitter.com/insightSBS

It airs 7:30pm Tuesday on SBS ONE.

  1. Bob may be ‘old’ i.e over 50, and ‘gay’, but he is in a most impressive position right now in the political landscape. He has quite a few good years in front of him, and is a great rolemodel for gay and lesbian people of any age.

  2. Bob Brown is a national treasure. but I worry about what will happen when he has to retire. He’s really old! It’s a worry. Scott Ludlum is good, but he might be too grumpy for Joe Average.
