Media reports today claim Mahogany, one of the vocal groups in The X Factor, have performed as backing singers for Guy Sebastian.
Previously known as The Roquettes, the four sisters Missy, Trina, Faye & Helen Fiso won the 2006 Australian Club Entertainment Award for Best New Talent and performed as support act for both Michael Jackson & Mariah Carey in Australia.
While The X Factor has no rules about professional performers competing, a Seven spokesperson denied there was any conflict of interest with Sebastian as one of the show’s judges.
“Our judges are some of the most established in the business. We would not consider it unusual for their paths to have crossed while working in the Australian music industry,” they said.
“Our judges have made their decisions based purely on the performances given during The X Factor competition.”

It will still rate twice two and half men….If only the other channels had the vision 7 does ….
Seven has done a good job so far in expunging all trace of Matthew Newton from the first episode. The show it’s self is a bit slow.
smells of idol and hillsong all over again. by the time this show is finished. every will forget who won it with in 2 days
Good dirt.. id say already rigged!

Would rather watch paint dry…. looks like a night of Lifestyle Channel for me.
This group looks great 🙂 I have a feeling they are going to be a favourite of mine this year!
