Survivor: Nicaragua cast revealed

Spoiler: Here's details on the Survivor: Nicaragua cast and a new season twist.

Spoiler: As previously revealed, it’s “Old v Young” for Survivor: Nicaragua with the eldest cast member aged 67 and the youngest aged 20.

Teams will be divided into generational tribes.

“Once we decided it was going to be old versus young,” Jeff Probst told E!Online, “we knew it couldn’t be big physical challenges. One of the things that’s kind of implied is that the challenges have to be fair for everybody.”

Immunity Challenges will have another twist named Medallion of Power. It gives the tribe who possesses it an advantage in the challenge—if they choose to play it. If they don’t, they continue to keep it. If they do play the Medallion reverts to the opposing tribe.

  1. @Jen: That’s a bad thing? IMO it’s not at all. Casting still seems to be such that you get people who clearly have no idea (and end up being over-bearing in the early days and get booted off) as well as those who know what they’re doing.

Seems like the show is going to jump the shark.

  2. Lewis I think it’s becuase so many contestants now know the game and have tactics planned just from watching so many past series.

Can’t wait for this to be shown!

  3. I have to say, I’m a little skeptical about these twists. What’s wrong with just having 16-20 new contestants in a new location? Now every season has to have something new, like each tribe having a theme (e.g. age) or a ‘Medallion of Power’ (sounds a little gimmicky to me). Rumour has it there will be more seasons involving past contestants too.
