Check out the US version of Top Gear, which is is due to premiere on the History Channel.

It features Adam Ferrara, Tanner Foust and Rutledge Wood as an American Clarkson / Hammond / May.

This is the second time the US has attempted a local version (doesn’t that sound familiar?), with an earlier one by NBC.

They sure like to wear check shirts over there.

  1. So TGA might start in a month or so on Nine, The US version is also sometime in Sept or Oct and they will be back in the UK in Nov, we’re going to have TG overload in the next few months!

How ironic would it be if TG US ends up on SBS?

“History Channel? How does that work exactly…?”
Well most US cars (GM/Ford) are about 20 years behind the rest of the world when it comes to design, safety and handling so there’s your history LOL

  2. I’m someone that didn’t actually mind the Aussie version, but this is yeah i’ll give it a shot.

Only worry is, this video is relying too much on showing people laughing, hearing people laughing than actually showing anything worth laughing at. Hopes half the show isn’t one of them doing mildly entertaining things, while the others pretend to laugh as if they’re watching a stunt on jackass.

  3. I agree, it looks ok and yes, better than TGA.

If stock car racing in the US started with people driving fast around twisty country roads, why on earth did they take most of the interest out of it by deciding to just turn left on all but 2 racetracks?

  4. That actually looks alright, okay it’s never gonna beat the UK version but I hope we get this here. I guess the local History channel will have first dibs?

How on the FTA side has a deal with them?
