Luke Carroll joins Play School

Actor Luke Carroll joins Play School's impressive roll call of presenters.

Actor Luke Carroll (Heartbreak High, Lift-Off, Water Rats, Home And Away, Ocean Girl) has joined the cast of ABC’s Play School.

He will join Hugh Sheridan, Georgie Parker, Jay Laga’aia, Rhys Muldoon, Justine Clarke, Alex Papps, Leah Vandenberg, Teo Gebert, Sofya Gollan and Andrew McFarlane as regular presenters.

In his first episode, Carroll will appear alongside Teo Gebert as they dress up as kings, go on a treasure hunt and play a memory game.

“I am extremely honoured to be given the chance to be part of such a respected and prestigious children television show that has graced out screens for so many years,” said Carroll.

ABC TV Children’s Head of Commission and Development, Carla de Jong said, “We’re excited to have Luke Caroll join Play School during its 44th year on air and it’s great to continue to find new talent on such a successful show.”

Caroll has also hosted Indigenous award show The Deadly Awards and been nominated for two AFI Awards for his roles in the film Australian Rules and SBS mini-series RAN: Remote Area Nurse.

His first episode airs in November on ABC1.
