US medical drama HawthoRNe was recently renewed in the US.
The drama starring Jada Pinkett Smith as Christina Hawthorne, and Michael Vartan as Dr. Tom Wakefield airs in Australia on Universal.
“With its memorable characters, powerful performances and moving storylines, HawthoRNe takes us on a dramatic journey through the world of a hospital on the brink of collapse,” said Michael Wright, executive vice president and head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies (TCM).
“This series has performed extremely well among our key demos and proven itself to be a solid summer hit. We are very excited to continue working with Jada and HawthoRNe’s outstanding production team and cast.”
Airing on Saturday nights, the series will guest star Marc Anthony on October 2 & 9.
Isabel, concerned for the safety of her son in foster care, kidnaps him and disappears. And it’s up to Christine and Detective Nick Renata (special guest star MARC ANTHONY) to find her. Tom gets back into surgery, while Bobbie and Steve try to help the family of the woman who injured him. Ray finds out the truth about Candy, and Kelly has a run-in with Malia and Judy.
Also guest stars Sara Gilbert.

I tried a couple of episodes of this, and it was OK.
However there’s only so many viewing hours available, and just “OK” isn’t good enough.
need to go and tell Jeff Kennett about this one, might be worthwhile sending a message out to the members to watch 😛
