Hung has won a third season from HBO.
The network has ordered another 10 episodes to air next year.
The pickup comes despite the show dipping slightly from its first-season average.
The show stars Thomas Jane as Ray Drecker, a failed pro athlete and bored high school coach who takes advantage of his endowments, plus Jane Adams, Anne Heche, Charlie Saxton and Australia’s Sianoa Smit-McPhee (pictured).
The second season airs in Australia on Showcase 8:30pm Wednesday September 22nd.

Very funny and interesting show. Thanks for the update.
What I find odd is, apparently this show rates better than any episode of something like Weeds ever has. When Weeds is one of the best shows around. Was shocked to read that.
I watch Hung, but I wouldn’t miss it at all if it was gone. It’s interesting enough but really how long can they stretch it out for.
Love this show. Glad to hear there will be a season 3.
Haven’t seen any yet. Still waiting for season 1 to come on DVD :l
Oh goody. I’ve been hang-ing on for S2 to start on FTA.
Cheers for the Showcase airdate David. I’ll be watching.
Hope it finds an audience – it is interesting telly. Jane Adams is brilliant – i was disappointed she was not Emmy nominated, but the Golden Globes nominated her and Thomas Jane last year. Anne Heche was pretty good too, i thought. A bizarre but fascinating show.
This is a good show, good on them for S3.
