Returning: The Ultimate Fighter

The reality series where professional fighters compete for a contract with the UFC, is coming back to FUEL TV.

FUEL TV will premiere season 12 of reality series The Ultimate Fighter, where professional fighters compete against each other for a six-figure contract with the UFC, the world’s leading combat sports organisation.

For Season 12, The Ultimate Fighter: Team GSP v Team Koscheck, there will be 28 competitors.

FUEL TV will culminate in a live finale on December 5.

Once again competitors will be split into two teams – one coached by UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St.Pierre, the other by his main contender Josh Koscheck – and endure a gruelling regime of jiu-jitsu, judo, Muay Thai, karate, boxing and wrestling in a state-of-the-art Las Vegas training facility.

The intense competition between the teams will continue after they leave the gym – at the Ultimate Fighter House. These warriors will live together, with their every move and comment captured on camera, knowing that any day they might be forced to fight each other in the famed UFC Octagon in order to advance towards the season finale.

The two finalists will square off in a finale held in front of a sold out Las Vegas crowd, where the winner will be declared “The Ultimate Fighter”. UFC President Dana White will once again serve as host of the series and boxing legend Mike Tyson will feature in the premiere episode.

Fuel TV Channel Manager Adam Howarth said The Ultimate Fighter series continues to grow in popularity with FUEL TV viewers.

“The mix of reality television and mixed martial arts makes for compelling viewing. The UFC is at the top of the pile when it comes to mixed martial arts and we are foaming at the mouth to get this series in front of our subscribers.”

“We will show every episode of this series and cap it off with LIVE coverage of the The Ultimate Fighter finale on December 5.”

It airs 8:30pm Sundays from September 19.
