Team Oprah to carve up the east coast

Oprah's audience will split into 3 groups of 100 and visit NSW, Victoria and Queensland.

Scouts for Oprah Winfrey hit Australian shores later this month to start to plan the star’s Aussie-flavoured shows.

The Age reports that Oprah and her 300 guests will touch down on December 7th.

They’ll spend a day in Sydney, then split into three groups of 100; those groups will go to NSW, Victoria and Queensland, where they’ll spend about a week.

Oprah ”correspondents” will file reports from the other states.

Everyone will reconvene in Sydney by December 14, when two shows will be recorded before a live audience of an estimated 6000 people on the Opera House forecourt.

The episodes will to go to air in mid-January, just before Tourism Australia’s ”G’Day USA” event kicks off in the week before Australia Day.

Oprah has said she wants to stay with an Australian family (but for how long?).

And no, John Travolta isn’t flying the Qantas plane here.
