Former Calvin Klein model turned actor, Australia’s Travis Fimmel, has landed a role in the FX crime drama pilot Outlaw Country.
The boy from an Echuca farm, who came to prominence as a male underwear model when his image towered over Times Square, will play a hard drinking gang member and the main character’s best friend.
He most recently starred opposite the late Patrick Swayze in A&E’s The Beast. His first acting role as the lead in the WB’s Tarzan fizzled out in 2003.
Outlaw Country centres around southern organised crime family. Fimmel will appear alongside Luke Grimes and John Hawkes.

Great actor! Great looking, too! Also wishes he can live down the “pretty boy” image because he has so much to offer as an actor. I think he is great and I will see any movie he is in!
This guy is extremely talented. Living down the “good looking model” thing is going to be hard though. I hope people give him a go.
He also stars in upcoming Aussie low budget horror/thriller film Needle.
