  1. @ Tasmanian Devil – One of The Middle episodes was a christmas special (that is why it was not aired, it was aired last year). No other episodes have been skipped, they all aired on Nine and GO.

  2. Let me just say that Extreme Makeover: Home Edition has to be the worst lifestyle show ever. Blowing up/bulldozing/burning down somone’s house and building a new one is no more a makeover than killing someone and having a baby as a replacement.

…on the positive side I’m looking forward to Amazing Race, Survivor, NCIS:LA, Brothers & Sisters, Dexter, and to a lesser degree Glee and Desperate Housewives.

  3. I’m really looking forward to No Ordinary Family, The Event and Nikita. Had the opportunity to see these pilots at ComicCon but decided not to.
I do hope they’re fasttracked here. Along with JJ’s new series.

Thanks for all this great news, David!

  4. i’ve read a lot of new season reviews the 4 shows that seem to keep popping up as predicted to be the hits this season are No Ordinary Family, Boardwalk Empire, Hawaii Five-0 and The Event. none of which look like they will be fasttracked. i think there was some talk that ten might ft H50 bu now that house is going an 8:30 slot i can’t see how they will ft it in, unless it is at the expense of ft’ing NCIS because GNW, Offspring, Rush take up the rest of the 8:30 slots.

  5. Just a quick heads up about some Australian TV renewals I’ve heard about recently.

There was an interview with Justine Clarke in a melbourne newspaper this weekend where she said she was moving to Melbourne towards the end of the year to start filming season 3 of Tangle so that has obviously being commisioned for another season which is great, Tangle is fantastic!

The new Channel 7 drama/comedy Winners and Losers will also go into production for a full 22 episode season beginning filming September 20th right through to May 6th 2011.

  6. It’s good to see Hellcats, The Vampire Diaries, Glee and House fasttracked but i would like to see Nikita, The Event, Hawaii Five-0 fasttracked but it is very likely that Boardwalk Empire will air on showcase first like every other HBO series and then come to free-to-air.

  7. So The Middle S2 starts on Sep 22, at which time GO will only be up to S1E13. That leaves 11 more episodes still not aired, and that’s not counting Eps 7 and 10 which mysteriously got left out. At this rate it will be non-ratings season before we get to S2. To be honest I’d rather they finished showing S1 first instead of skipping ahead to S2, but 9 has said they’ll be fast tracking it, and I don’t see how that’s going to work seeing that at the moment there’s still 15 unaired episodes. Perhaps they’ll show them in marathon form?

  8. No Ordinary Family should be fasttracked!!
Finally something to watch after a long boring winter of no TV.
Good to see Rules of Engagement back so early, and not held off to Mid Season.

  9. @Andrew_81: modern Family was not fasttracked. It did not premier until Masterchef began in May and by then the whole season had aired in the US.

I think Seven are fasttracking The Event (if not they should be).

  10. Are any of these shows being fast tracked here? TV stations should take note because if you look at what’s rating highest here it’s first time played Aussie shows and fast tracked shows like Hot in Cleveland & Modern Family.
