ACP mags in the spotlight

Foxtel plans an observational series set around ACP magazines Cosmopolitan, Cleo, Madison, Dolly and Shop Till You Drop.

Interesting premise for a new series coming next year on Foxtel.

Park Street will be a 10 episode observational series set around ACP magazines Cosmopolitan, Cleo, Madison, Dolly and Shop Till You Drop.

“It will focus on editors, primarily, and the conflicts they have within their own group in competing for the covers and stories and the gossip that goes into making those magazines what they are,” Brian Walsh told the Sunday Telegraph.

“There has been a lot of discussion between Foxtel and ACP about the tonality of the show – I wasn’t interested in an advertorial; it had to be gripping television.”

This could easily be just a puff piece, but it also has the capacity to be very interesting if it is fearless.

But no Women’s Weekly? And can we whack TV Week on the list, or is that too touchy for a Pay TV operator to tackle?

  1. That actually sounds interesting. I’m looking forward to it. The US produces so much docudrama on its cable channels but there’s relatively little of it here, I wonder if that will eventually change?
