Myf Warhurst will present a one-hour special on Powderfinger two days before their final gig.
She has been a long time fan of Powderfinger, dating back to her days as a radio presenter on triple j, and has watched the band develop with keen interest. This one hour special looks at their career and contribution to Australian music.
Their final show takes place at Riverstage, Brisbane, on Saturday 13th November.
Powderfinger is one of Australia’s favourite rock bands. Over the last 20 years they have released a number of platinum selling albums, performed many sold-out tours, and developed a reputation for their charity work and interest in reconciliation and Indigenous issues.
In April 2010 the band announced that they would be breaking up after one last tour. The Powderfinger ‘Sunsets’ tour is making its way around the country and will finish in the band’s home town of Brisbane on November 13.
Powderfinger: The Final Odyssey will feature footage from the ‘Sunsets’ tour interspersed with behind-the-scenes material, highlights of the band’s career from the ABC archives and an exclusive intimate interview with Myf and the band.
This prime-time special program captures a major cultural moment in Australia’s music history – a program not to be missed by Powderfinger and music fans alike.
Powderfinger: The Final Odyssey airs 9:30pm Thursday November 11th on ABC1.

I hope VideoHits do a Powderfinger special and soon to coinside with their fare well show in brisbane, If theABC can do it VideoHits should be able to as well.
