Airdate: The Electric Playground

The SciFi Channel has picked up the rights to daily entertainment news show covering movies, TV, video games, music and more.

The SciFi Channel has picked up the rights to  entertainment news show The Electric Playground, also known as EP Daily.

The daily half hour series hosted by Victor Lucas (pictured) covers movies, TV, video games, music, comics, collectibles, gadgets, mobile apps and electronic devices.

The Vancouver-based series incorporates news bureaus in Toronto, Los Angeles and San Francisco with presenters, Briana McIvor, Jose Sanchez, Miri Jedeikin, Shaun Hatton and Lucas.

SciFI CEO Peter Hudson said “It’s the perfect addition to our schedule and will compliment the breadth of outstanding drama on the channel. The Electric Playground is a very current show on what’s hot right now and will be engaging for our viewers and will be a further exciting exclusive opportunity for our advertising partners.”

“I‟m ecstatic that we‟ve put this partnership in place with SciFi,” Lucas agreed, “I‟m an enormous fan of the network and the other amazing programming it offers–we really couldn‟t ask for a better home for The Electric Playground.”

It premieres on December 1st at 8pm.
