Cee Lo Green switches “F*** You” to “FOX News”

Stephen Colbert gives singer Cee Lo Green a lyric switch idea to avoid him droppin' the F-Bomb.

Most people know the song “F*** You” by hip hop singer Cee Lo Green has had a widely-used lyric change to “Forget You”. Gwynneth Paltrow is going to use the latter in an episode of Glee.

But for The Colbert Report, Stephen Colbert gave him another idea….

  1. I think the person who told paltrow, that she could sing. Should be charged with terrorism. And Fox news? Sadly, it’s the most balanced news channel in the us.

  2. You can watch the uncensored version of F*** You on the Colbert Nation website.

The song is pretty good except I can’t understand a single word Cee Lo Green is singing!

  3. I don’t know Jason D. It does have a very catchy hook.

And, correcting what I was referring to in my earlier comment, it was the intro not the chorus, and it wasn’t strictly acapella, just with bare instrumentation.

  4. Saw this last night on ABC2. He used “Fox News” for the acapella first chorus and then switched to “Forget you”. Funny how he supposedly couldn’t say “F#ck” in the song but Colbert dropped the F-word (bleeped) at least 5 times. I guess that they didn’t want the bleep intruding over the song.
