Ernie & Denise still got the magic

When Ernie Sigley was a guest on The Circle today with Denise Drysdale they showed they still have what it takes.

One of Australian television’s most enduring duos, Ernie and Denise, revived their magic on The Circle this morning.

While the reunion was hardly a rare occasion for the Sigley and Drysdale, it was a reminder of the rapport the two have shared on screen across a number of TV shows, several of which led the morning TV landscape.

Chatting about the old days, both had the audience and hosts in fits of laughter.

At one point during their lively banter a cheeky Drysdale said to him “you’re full of sh*t!”

A shocked Sigley told her not to use that language on the telly, but Drysdale then reminded him “what did you used to call me? Shirley Sh*tbags didn’t you?”

Fun stuff.

  1. i just watched the video laughed the whole time its great seeing the two of them back together they should get their own show and as georgi said they are like a old married couple

  2. Im really enjoying the Circle. Today I turned it on just as Ernie came on and I was just laughing the whole time. It was gold. I laughed when they shared the old stories and when Ernie turned to Gorgi and said you have put on weight then said oh you are pregnant are you.

    Denise Drysdale is as funny today as she was all those years ago.

  4. So annoyed I missed this – I loved The Ernie Sigley Show as a kid. You listening Ten?? Didn’t know this was on because you still don’t put in the EPG who is on today’s show (unlike some other shows that do). If you can’t be bothered to put in the EPG who is going to be on, then I can’t be bothered to make the effort to make sure I don’t miss it. If Ernie is on again, and it’s in the EPG that he’s on, I’ll watch it.

  7. I love the circle, It’s so much fun compared to morning show and kerri anne, all the girls are great and lots of fun to watch. Todays ep was hilarious! It’s good to see the word sh*t used every now and then aswell, shows we are human.

  8. Brilliant they should have Ernie on more! I loved the old clips from the 70s and would love to see those old shows in full. Either on one of the digital chs or a DVD boxset.

  9. While I still think either Reg Watson or Bevan Lee deserve to be inducted into the Logies Hall of Fame, if that doesn’t happen how about Denise Drysdale getting it?

    She’s more than paid her dues in the industry over several decades and has been a success at almost everything she’s done.

    I’d certainly put my vote in for her to receive the award.
